Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Subject Matter Expert

The job: 

Join MAK Technologies Simulation Solutions division! We are seeking a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our business development team. The job is located in the Research Park area of Orlando, FL with potentially significant travel (up to 50%).

Lead business development and strategy for a portfolio of programs in the FMS market segment for Simulation. The right individual will provide direction on organic growth of existing business development targets/programs internationally as well as develop and lead the future business capture strategy in the DoD and adjacent markets in support of a diverse set of customers and programs. The successful candidate must possess domain experience, customer experience,  the ability to develop early win strategies for customer outreach and targeted influence, understand innovative technology to communicate discriminators,  and present to senior management in a concise fashion to enable early bid/no bid decisions.

Roles and responsibilities include:

  • Manage task distribution and workflow
  • Support proposals for new business
  • Initiate partnerships and teaming relationships for competitive pursuits
  • Actively communicate, interface and follow-up with customer community, potential new business enterprises and internal and external stakeholders, including ability to independently conduct initial technical discussions.
  • Translate customer needs into specific requirements, identifying/tailoring company services and solutions into offerings, and managing captures to effectively market the division’s capabilities to meet those needs.
  • Assist capture/proposal managers with proposals and execution.
  • Participate in key capture pursuits

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with international capture and FMS contracts
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years of experience in capture management, business development, project/business/program management or engineering
  • Ability to conduct independent initial technical and concept discussions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Simulation domain expertise
  • Program management, hardware and/or software engineering skills
  • Current and active Secret clearance
  • Multi-lingual
